According to the official Mercedes-Benz website, the 2012 CLS-Class Coupe has the world's first 7-speed automatic transmission, re-engineered for smoother, more efficient and more responsive performance. An electronic selector and paddle shifters, allow complete control of gear changes without taking a hand from the 3-spoke steering wheel. Its multi-talented, multi-mode AIRMATIC suspension turns pressurized air into calm composure on any road. AIRMATIC not only expertly balances sharp handling reflexes with a relaxing ride, it also lowers the car at higher speeds to cut drag and enhance stability. The new electromechanical power steering with Direct-steer offers quicker cornering response, crisper on-center feel and easier low-speed maneuvers.

2011 Mercedes-Benz New Model Preview
