Social Media in 2011

2011 marked a lot of new partnerships, events, and opportunities here at Aristocrat Motors. Perhaps one of the most noticeable new programs was our entrance into social media, through channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and this very blog. I would like to share a few of the more significant moments we shared with our fans and followers.

1. Our First Facebook Post.
This post was not a welcome to the world announcement, but rather a reminder of how far one of our brands had come. Mercedes-Benz, one of our core franchises, turned 125 years old this year, and continues to be the leader in luxury automobiles.

2. Our First Tweet
All this implied was more to come from Aristocrat Motors. At the time, we didn’t know specifically what that implied, but the events of the following year proved it to be an accurate prediction. Fun Fact: The first Facebook post and Tweet were both on my first day working here.

3. Our 200th Facebook Fan
3 and ½ months after opening ourselves up on Facebook, we reached 200 accumulated fans. In the 7 months following, that number would increase tenfold, pushing past 2,000 just a few days ago.

4. Livestrong Sporting Park Sponsorship

We announced through Facebook our decision to sponsor Sporting Kansas City for their opening season in Kansas City. Livestrong Sporting Park ended up being one of the most talked about venues in KC for 2011, with the team nearly making it to the MLS Championship.

5. Sleepyhead Beds Tweet

On September 1st we announced a partnership with Sleepyhead Beds, a local charity, to hold a bed drive. Little did we know that that single tweet would start a program delivering over 265 beds to kids in Kansas City, as well as secure Sleepyhead Beds a $25,000 grant from Mercedes-Benz.

6. Kauffman Center Grand Opening

September 16th we notified the world that we would be sponsoring the opening night of The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The facility opened to rave reviews from around the country, and is proving to be a game changing venue for the downtown area. We recently announced that we will be an official sponsor of the center for the next 2 years.

7. Race Across Missouri
On September 26th we raced Justin Meyer, from Kansas City International Airport, across the state of Missouri. He traveled by bus to KCI and by jet to St. Louis, with us racing him in a Porsche Panamera. The event was mentioned hundreds of times on Twitter, with hundreds of thousands of overall impressions. Despite the Porsche losing by a mere 15 minutes, the event continues to be talked about.

8. SMCKC Ride and Drive

In October we opened our vehicles and private track up for members of The Social Media Club of Kansas City. Over 30 of the top-tweeters in KC showed up and got to see what our vehicles are really about. It was also a chance to directly introduce ourselves to a group of people who are changing the social landscape in Kansas City.

Thank you to everyone who made these events and announcements special in 2011. We look forward to even more in 2012!

Aristocrat Motors Announces Partnership with The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts!

Aristocrat Motors is proud to be one of the corporate sponsors of The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. We recognize that this venue has become a game-changer for Kansas City, bringing us national attention for our commitment to the arts, and will provide a place for people to experience those performances for years to come.

In addition to sponsoring the building itself, we are sponsoring the Center’s Legends Series, which kicks off with a May 8th performance of Aretha Franklin. Although we won’t have permanent signage, look for Mercedes-Benz vehicles to be on display for all future performances.

We look forward to seeing you there!

New Vehicles for 2012

With 2011 drawing to a close, the 6 new models we launched here at Aristocrat Motors have taken off. The Range Rover Evoque was named Motor Trend SUV of the Year, Top Gear car of the year, and AOL Autos SUV of the year. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, SLK Roadster, CLS, M-Class, and SLS AMG roadster have all been released to additional rave reviews amid short supply and high demand.

In 2012, we have even more models coming your way. Here is a preview of what’s next:

2013 Mercedes-Benz SL
2013 Mercedes-Benz SL: The SL has long been the flagship sports convertible for Mercedes-Benz. In 2013 the vehicle sports a complete redesign, complete with new engine options, a redesigned exterior, and a brand new interior reminiscent of the SLS AMG supercar. The vehicle will launch as a 2013 model year in late April/early May.

2013 Mercedes-Benz GL: The biggest SUV of them all will be completely redesigned for the 2013 model year. Launching in late August, this SUV will get a complete makeover externally and internally, borrowing some styling cues from the new ML, its smaller sibling. Manufactured in the United States, this car will have a remarkably short order to arrival time.

2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK: The GLK small-SUV will receive a small exterior facelift, as well as a complete interior redesign. This interior redesign will greatly enhance the luxury of the cabin, and better integrate the COMAND system. Also available for 2013 will be a smaller 4-cylinder motor option.

2013 Mercedes-Benz C-Coupe with 4MATIC: The gorgeous new C-Class coupe that was launched in 2011 will now be available in 4MATIC all-wheel drive, a popular option in our market. This will both enhance its driving dynamics as well as its ability to take to the roads no matter what weather has in store.

2013 Jaguar XJ/XF with All-Wheel Drive: The Jaguar sedans will be adding all-wheel drive in late 2012, giving some of the most beautiful cars the ability to better handle winter weather. Judging by the popularity of all-wheel drive in some of our other makes, this looks to be a major improvement for the Jaguar brand.

2013 Land Rover Range Rover: The legendary Range Rover has been in its current body style for nearly a decade. Proving to be one of the most capable vehicles on earth, it blends absolute luxury and classic style with an ability to conquer any terrain or weather the planet has to offer. For 2013 the legend continues as the vehicle is completely redesigned from the top-down. Launch time is still TBD.

2013 Range Rover Spy Photo
2012 Porsche 911 (991 chassis): The most iconic sports car in the world enters its newest generation in 2013. With a longer wheelbase, revised styling, and Panamera-esque interior design, the newest 911 will be here in early 2012. Note: the new vehicle will be first be available as a Carrera and Carrera Cabriolet models to begin, with the rest of the 911 lineup staying in the 997 body style until the 2013 model year.
2012 Porsche 911 Carrera
2013 Porsche Boxster and Cayman: Although details are still in the works, we will be receiving completely new versions of the Boxster convertible and Cayman coupe for 2012. Photos are not yet available, but we have seen images at eyes-only Porsche events, and the new vehicles will be even more gorgeous than their predecessors.

As you can see, 2012 is shaping up to be quite the revolutionary year here at Aristocrat Motors. We look forward to experiencing these new models with our customers in 2012. Please visit our website at www.AristocratMotors.com to check selection or to submit an inquiry on reserving one of these new models. Additional release information will be made available through our Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/AristocratMotors ,or via our Twitter account at www.twitter.com/AristocratKC.

smart center Merriam: Photo Contest

smart center Merriam and smart center Kansas City are celebrating the holidays in a different way. We want to give you free tickets to the Midland Theater by AMC!

What kind of sick gauntlet of challenges are we putting you through to achieve these most coveted tickets, to your choice of show in January or February? Are we asking you to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro? Nope. Dive to the depths of the Pacific? Not at all!
small tickets... BIG THEATER! (you get the point...)

We want you to post a photo on either of our Facebook pages, showing how something small is capable of doing a BIG thing, just like a smart car!

Okay, some ground rules. These pictures have to be appropriate, and not by congressional standards. (think PG). Also, you can’t break any laws or cause damage to stuff that isn’t yours, because that just wouldn’t be cool.

So in short, take a picture of something small doing something BIG, post it on our wall, and we will pick our favorite to win 2 tickets to ANY Midland show in January or February. Contest ends New Year’s Eve, and we mean it.

Good luck on winning these most coveted awards.
